Riederalp - Aletschgletscher - Riederalp
Cable car ride to Moosfluh after that a hike from Moosfluh to the “Katzenlöcher”. This is where the glacier experience begins. During the 2-hour hike, well secured, you learn some fascinating facts about the 20 km-long Great Aletsch Glacier and its history. Return via Moosfluh to Riederalp (individual decision by cable car or on foot).
Dates: every Wednesday from beginning of July until beginning of October, additionaly every Tuesday and Thursday from mid-July until mid-August
Duration: total approximate walking time 6 hours (approx. 2 hours on the Aletsch Glacier)
Meeting point: 09:00 at the Moosfluh valley station, Riederalp

Number of participants: min. 8 people
Suitable for: minimum age 8 years
Requirements: sure-footedness, no mountaineering experience required
Equipement: hiking or trekking shoes (good grip), rain gear, long trousers for the glacier, hat, jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, gloves, packed lunch and drinks, eventually walking sticks. Technical equipment such as crampons will be provided free of charge.
